The SIS Alumni Association is an active organization of SIS graduates whose purpose is to support programs of the School and to foster communication among professionals. Staying connected to classmates via the School helps alumni build networks with each other while staying abreast of professional changes in specialized concentrations of library and information sciences.

Alumni and friends of the University of Tennessee's School of Information Sciences are invited to join SIS students at a school-wide picnic at Tyson Park this Saturday, October 24, from 12:00 – 4:00 pm.
Alumni Encouraged to Vote in Alumni Board Election
All SIS alumni are encouraged to vote in this year's School of Information Sciences Alumni Board election. The result of the election will be to install two Members-at-Large, a Secretary, and a Vice-President. Cast your vote today!

SIS Announces 2009 Alumni Awards
In front of some 75 alumni and friends, the School of Information Sciences Alumni Board announced its Distinguished Alumnus for 2009, along with its inaugural Innovator’s Award, at the School’s Alumni & Friends Day on March 7 at the UT Hoskins Library.
Dr. Mike Pemberton (’75) was honored with the School’s Distinguished Alumni award for 2009, and James Staub (’04) was honored with the inaugural Innovator’s Award.
