ARKANSAS -- The Natural State!
This is the page for the UTK SIS Arkansas Cohort Group. We invite any current students or alumns, who happen to be Arkansans, to join this group!
If you would like to meet up with fellow cohorts, plan an event or have any questions, comments or concerns please contact: Jill Knoke-Staggs
For discussions, camaraderie, class help or anything else you can think of, make sure to join our Facebook page: UTK SIS Arkansas Cohort Group
It is the best way to communicate via open dialogue as we do not have a listserv set up for this group.
See below for upcoming events:
Dr. Cortez has proposed a field trip to Arkansas for SIS
students, to visit the Bentonville public library, the Crystal Bridges Museum
of American Art, and possibly also the Clinton presidential library, later this
semester (Spring 2012). In addition to students in Arkansas or west Tennessee, those from
Knoxville or other cohorts can also participate. Visiting special information
environments like these on an SIS-arranged trip, can add a valuable dimension
to your graduate studies. Plus…it will be a lot of fun!
Crystal Bridges Museum: http://crystalbridges.org/ , Bentonville Public Library: http://www.bentonvillelibrary.org/, William J. Clinton Presidential
Library & Museum: www.clintonlibrary.gov
.
Here are the links to the websites of the points of
interest. If it sounds like an event that you might be interested in
participating in, or would like to find out more about the trip,
please contact me off list at kmcclan3@utk.edu.
For planning purposes, please mention in your response if you are from
the Arkansas/west Tenn or a different cohort.
Thanks,
Kitty McClanahan, Ph.D.
