The campus is alive again with students! Kicking off the 2011 – 2012 school year, SIS faculty and staff greeted the incoming new students with an orientation on Friday August 12. Tanya Arnold, Coordinator of Student Services, planned and organized a very full day of activities to get the 80+ students prepared to begin classes. Faculty members held advising sessions and cohort groups met for the first time. Cindy Lancaster guided the students through their computer initiation in advance of their distance education experience. In all, Arnold put in a tremendous amount of hours and effort to ensure all new students had a good first experience as they embark on the next phase of their educational journey. We wish them well and look forward to hearing more about their successes.
