second spring Research Forum next Wednesday, April 13 in the Communications
Building.

honored Bonnie C. Carroll with its inaugural Distinguished Friend
Award.

ScienceLinks Scholarship
ScienceLinks is a two-year scholarship funded by the Institute for
Museum and Library Services and the University of Tennessee, to be
awarded to students from underrepresented groups interested in a career
in science librarianship.
Ugandan Library School Director to Visit SIS
Dr. Issac Kigongo-Bukenya, Director of the East African School of Library and Information Science (EASLIS), will be the featured speaker at a brown bag lunch gathering on Tuesday, January 18, in the Communication Bldg. on the UT campus.
SIS to Offer Undergraduate Minor
A new Undergraduate Minor in Information Studies and Technology has been
approved by school and college faculty and will be in place fall 2006, when
accepted by the University Undergraduate Council early next year.
Dr. Wang Receives National Grant
Information Sciences Associate Professor Dr. Peiling Wang is among three researchers nationwide to win an OCLC/ALISE Library and Information Science Research Grant Program award.
