Three faculty candidates are visiting the School of Information this
month and interviewing for the faculty position that replaces Dr. Bill Robinson. Below are the links to and schedules of each candidate's presentations.
Students viewing the webcast will be able to write in their questions
to the candidates during the presentations. Questions will be monitored
and relayed in real-time to the candidates. The webcasts can also be

Job Description
Below is an excerpt of the position desciption and faculty responsibilities, which include:
Typically teaching two courses at the graduate or undergraduate level per semester. Instruction in both live on-site and through telecommunications and digital technology. Advising students, participating in the life of the School, including service on School, College, and campus committees, and developing/maintaining relationships with graduates and other members of the library and information science community. Possibly coordinate the School’s involvement with the State Teacher Licensure for School Library Media Professionals. Develop and sustain an active and productive program of research/scholarship.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Earned doctorate by time of appointment in information sciences, library science, or related area. Demonstrated teaching ability and established research record or demonstrated research potential. For appointment at Associate Professor level, sustained research and publication record and at least five years of teaching experience.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Education and experience in one or more of the following areas: youth
services; sources and services in humanities, social sciences, and/or
sciences; school library media centers; or academic librarianship.
Experience or demonstrated ability in design and delivery of courses in
a variety of formats, including distance learning modes, is highly
desirable.
