Who am I?

My name is Iman Tahamtan, and I am a second year Ph.D. Student (Graduate Teaching Associate) in the School of Information Sciences, College of Communication and Information at the University of Tennessee in Knoxville (UTK).

What are my research interests?

  • My current research interests fall into the following categories: Health Information Retrieval, Health Data Mining, Scientometrics.
  • My research interests in Health Information Retrieval includes designing search systems to better serve consumers of health information.
  • My research in the area of Health Data Mining includes modeling and predicting health behaviors.
  • My research interests in bibliometrics and scientometrics include citation reasons, citation motives, and citation theory.
